Excellent Soul Food, very freshly prepared, owner is very friendly and explained everything on the menu. Will return soon. Recommended for chicken, beef, fish and southern soul food side dishes!

Omg this food is so good, customer service top tier, I highly recommend 10/10 every bite was good. I’ll be back please note I just took bad photos cause I was so busy trying to eat lol trust me it look waayyyy better than this

My husband enjoyed the hibachi chicken. 4/5 The orange chicken was cooked to perfection 5/5 Soul food egg rolls didn’t have much turkey 3/5 Fried fish and shrimp was good but was a tab bit salty. I still ate it 4/5 Pork chops were ok. I think we all pinched off one and the other stayed in the fridge until trash day 3/5 I didn’t enjoy the salmon patties and I LOVE a good salmon patty 2/5 The garlic pasta was so salty that it wasn’t edible for us. Even the salt lover in our family couldn’t handle it 0/5 The Mac and cheese must have been wonderful because I didn’t even get to try it! I bought an extra side of m&c and that was the 1st thing my family tried and ate it all. Cabbage was good. A little sweet 4/5 Green beans were delicious 5/5 Red beans and rice were alright 3/5 Mashed potatoes were ok. Definitely not from a box 4/5 Food is cooked to order so if you’re in a rush, call ahead and place an order. The cashier was very friendly. Even though it was my 1st time there, it felt familiar. I noticed that same vibe with everyone who came in. There were 2-3 small tables with 2 chairs at each. You could dine in but take out might be the best choice. IMO, prices are very reasonable! Portion sizes are decent. Overall, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.

The food here is great & the receptionist/cashier was extremely nice! I drove 40 mins just to come try it out and definitely plan to start coming on the weekends! I order the chicken wing boil box 10/10 (lemon pepper and hot honey lemon pepper - I asked for the wings to be separated from the boil) and the Soul 4 Real egg rolls 8/10! Can’t wait to try more!

Honestly I would give JDs Food Box a 10! This was the ABSOLUTE best food ever! The collard greens were cooked to perfection along with the turkey meat OMG!! The customer service was spectacular!! The catfish was well seasoned and big! Pork chops were big, juicy, and delicious ! My wife couldn't finish the other one ! The custom made dirty south peach tea and the twisted blueberry was delectable! But the OK CARRIBEAN OXTAIL BALLS........first of all they were the size of softballs ! The taste was...........I'm at a lost for words. The candy yams were homemade, the red beans were excellent. I highly recommend to come to JDs Food Box! I give this place a 10!!!!! Please come and support this business! You won't be disappointed especially those who love soul food!!

My first time ever trying soul food it was totally worth it. Forgot to ask the name of the chef and the person to serve me. That’s a mistake on my end but excellent customer service and knowledgeable too. I live like 40 minutes away, but I’ll come through again cocktail and the pecan eggroll was fire. Love the chicken and the shrimp too.

Food, Service, Flavor - everything was immaculate! I was referred by a coworker and when I called in first to ask questions, I was greeted and treated with the upmost hospitality. I got the oxtail balls (never had this before) and might I say that was the most flavorful, filling balls I’ve ever tasted! The honey hot chicken … wheww, if I knew the chicken was so big and the potions were as hefty, I truly only needed two wings with my balls! Oh and under the wings are packed with fries and veggies. Bottom line, this is a nice treat, with nice portions and definitely worth to treat yourself every now and again!!

I enjoy talking to the owners/chefs. I loved hearing their journey. The food is rich and full of soulful flavors. I like how the chef has different specials that include other ethic foods, and they add soul food touch. Their regular menu is amazing as well. I'm grateful they are right down the road so I can get some home cooking meals.
